Senior Vice President, Facility Maintenance & Operations
Americas (US-based, full-time exempt role with travel required)
About the Role
The Senior Vice President, Americas Facilities Management & Operations (AMS FM&O) is a senior executive responsible for the strategic leadership and operational delivery of Salute’s facilities management and operations services across the Americas region. This leader oversees a large, geographically distributed team, drives operational excellence across mission-critical data center environments, and serves as the primary executive point of accountability for client relationships, P&L performance, workforce planning, and service quality across all AMS engagements.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the regional FM&O strategy in alignment with Salute’s global objectives and growth targets.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify expansion opportunities, optimize service delivery models, and develop scalable operational frameworks.
- Act as a senior executive sponsor for key client accounts, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and contract growth.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across all AMS operations.
Operational Delivery
- Oversee day-to-day FM&O operations across all client facilities and operations in the Americas, ensuring adherence to SLAs, uptime commitments, and safety standards.
- Oversee multiple disparate service lines including Data Center Critical and non-Critical Maintenance, Staff Augmentation, Security, Critical Cleaning, Rack Deployments, and others.
- Establish and enforce consistent operational processes, procedures, and standards across all sites and service lines.
- Lead incident management, escalation protocols, and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all operations teams meet applicable regulatory, compliance, and client contractual requirements.
Financial Management
- Own the AMS FM&O P&L, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, cost management, and margin optimization.
- Identify and execute cost efficiencies without compromising service quality or safety.
- Support commercial and pricing strategy for new and existing contracts in collaboration with Sales and Finance.
People Leadership
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing regional leadership team, including Vice Presidents, Regional Directors, Site Managers, and functional leads, and technicians.
- Drive workforce planning efforts to ensure appropriate staffing levels, skills coverage, and succession readiness across the region.
- Foster an inclusive culture that prioritizes employee development, engagement, and wellbeing.
- Partner with HR on talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational design.
- Support continuous improvement of training and development programs.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the executive-level relationship owner for major AMS clients, driving strategic account management and long-term partnership growth.
- Lead executive business reviews (EBRs) and quarterly performance discussions with key clients.
- Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, and Solutions teams to support new pursuits and contract renewals.
- Represent Salute externally at industry events, client engagements, and partner forums.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, data center operations, or critical infrastructure services, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success leading large, geographically distributed operations teams (200+ employees) across multiple sites.
- Proven P&L ownership and financial management experience at scale.
- Deep expertise in data center FM&O, including critical systems (power, cooling, fire suppression), CMMS platforms, DCIM tools, cleaning, security.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to build trusted relationships with C-suite clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing complex service contracts and SLA-driven environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a managed services or outsourced FM environment supporting hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center clients.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), CDCP, or equivalent.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience scaling operations through rapid company or contract growth.
- MBA or advanced degree.

Work Environment & Travel
This role requires frequent travel across the Americas region, estimated at 40–60% of working time, to visit client sites, meet with team members, and support business development activities. Some international travel may be required.
