Senior Underwriter - Professional Liability

Responsibilities
- Generate, underwrite, and analyze accounts for new and renewal Professional Lines business in Architectural & Engineering, Contractors E&O, Technology & Cyber E&O, Miscellaneous Professional, and Excess Professional.
- Comply with underwriting documentation rules and guidelines.
- Maintain an acceptable underwriting profit.
- Adhere to Admiral underwriting guidelines and referral compliance.
- Maintain and develop key broker/agent relationships.
- Participate in internal company training and continuing education.
- Stay current on product releases relevant to professional lines of business.
- Lead strategic marketing calls to key brokers (up to 25%).
- Manage and develop business and broker relationships new to the organization.
- Stay informed on market trends regarding forms, coverage, and appetite to remain competitive.
- Act as a referral authority for Associate Underwriters and Underwriters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years in the E&S sector, with wholesale underwriting or brokering experience in Architectural & Engineering, Contractors E&O, Technology & Cyber E&O, Miscellaneous Professional, and Excess Professional.
- Established wholesale relationships with references.
- Technical knowledge of Admiral’s professional lines of coverage.
- Broker management and marketing experience.
- Applicable coursework toward attainment of a RPLU designation required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to manage deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical proficiency is required.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in the E&S sector, specifically in Architectural & Engineering, Contractors E&O, Technology & Cyber E&O, Miscellaneous Professional, and Excess Professional. Must have established relationships with references and technical knowledge of Admiral’s professional lines of coverage. Applicable coursework toward attainment of a RPLU designation is preferred.
