Senior Accountant

About the role

Vaco's client in East Dallas is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dynamic environments, particularly with acquisitions, and will be responsible for the accounting of a newly acquired entity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Generate accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Aid in preparing consolidated financial reports and management presentations.
• Ensure accounting policies, procedures, and controls are consistently applied and in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various levels of the accounting and finance team.
• Extensive US GAAP knowledge, process implementation, and internal controls experience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, and a CPA license. Experience with financial reporting, consolidation, and process implementation is highly preferred.

Pay

$100,000 - $110,000 annually
