Responsibilities
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue (royalty billing/collections), and expense entries; maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by resolving discrepancies.
- Performs monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position variance analyses; possesses intimate knowledge of various entities to explain or correct discrepancies.
- Operates with a high degree of cross-functional curiosity; refuses to operate "in a bubble."
- During operational lulls or after personal deadlines are met, actively raises their hand for additional corporate initiatives, process improvements, or cross-training opportunities, ensuring total team alignment and operational resilience.
- Maintains a standard of radical transparency with leadership; identifies potential bottlenecks or risks to the Close timeline and communicates them proactively rather than reactively.
- Actively engages in daily stand-ups and collaborative sessions; contributes to a high-performance floor culture by remaining solution-oriented and professional even during high-pressure cycles.
- Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and composure; approaches procedural updates and leadership directives with a receptive, collaborative attitude rather than a resistive or defensive posture.
- Takes initiative as a self-starter to meet multiple deadlines in stressful situations; proactively offers assistance to cross-functional peers during peak workloads, makes time for unplanned assignments, and adapts quickly to changing priorities under the PE-sponsor model.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 3–4 years of full-cycle accounting experience or experience in public accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
- Experience working within a large ERP system, such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), or a similar enterprise platform.
- Preferred qualifications include 2–3 years of audit experience at a regional or national CPA firm, experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics 365 F&O, or OneStream, and a graduate degree in Accounting or active CPA license.
