Senior Technologist Laboratory - Central Labs Chemistry - Day Shift Including Weekends and Holidays

About the role
Take the next step in your career and join the team as a Senior Laboratory Technologist in the Central Laboratory working in our Chemistry section. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will assume some supervision and coordination of the activities of the laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative tests. You will have the ability to train and guide laboratory technologists, participate in problem-solving processes, and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards.
This is a full-time day shift position (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) including rotating weekends and holidays, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell campus.
Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests
- Supervise and coordinate activities of laboratory personnel
- Train and guide laboratory technologists
- Participate in problem-solving processes
- Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience)
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education Department
- ASCP certification (preferred)
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP (on-site presence required; no travel expense reimbursement)

Pay
Salary Range: $55.80–$66.65/hour
Schedule
- Full-time day shift: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Rotating weekends and holidays
