About the role

As the largest and busiest Microbiology department in New York, we set the standards for our field. Our technologists conduct the widest array of testing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, gaining experience with analyses not performed anywhere else. This role offers unlimited opportunities to advance your expertise.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will supervise and coordinate laboratory personnel in performing quantitative and qualitative tests. You will train and guide laboratory technologists, participate in problem-solving processes, and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of experience in Microbiology.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience).
  • New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education Department.
  • ASCP certification (preferred).
  • Six years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist (preferred).

Schedule

Full-time day shift: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Pay

Salary range: $55.80–$66.65 per hour.
