About the Role

As the largest and busiest Central Lab/Chemistry department in New York, we set the standards for our field. Our technologists conduct the widest array of testing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including rare opportunities with antibody identification and immunohematology problems. Combined with the stem cell capabilities of our Cellular Therapy department, we offer unlimited opportunities to advance your expertise.

In this role, you will assume technical responsibilities along with supervision and coordination of laboratory personnel in performing quantitative and qualitative tests. You will train and guide laboratory technologists, participate in problem-solving processes, and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years' experience in Transfusion Medicine
  • A bachelor’s degree in medical technology (or equivalent experience)
  • New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education Department
  • ASCP certification (preferred)
  • 6 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist (preferred)

Schedule

This is a full-time day shift position, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Location

NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center campus on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Pay

Salary range: $55.80 - $66.65 per hour.
