Senior Structural Engineer - Part Time (Temp)
About the role
The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing structural projects that meet safety and quality standards. This role requires extensive knowledge in structural engineering principles and experience in managing projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Design and review structural drawings and calculations
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project compliance with building codes and regulations
- Manage project timelines and budgets
- Oversee construction sites to ensure adherence to design specifications
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in relevant state(s)
- Strong understanding of structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience with structural design for commercial and industrial buildings
- Knowledge of seismic design and wind engineering
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
