Senior Structural Engineer – Part Time

About the role

VHB's structural engineering group develops and enhances connectivity through infrastructure projects such as complex bridge and interchange designs, rehabilitation and inspection, pedestrian walkways, and transit stations. This role supports the planning, analysis, and design of a diverse portfolio of structural projects across New England.

Responsibilities

• Support, develop, organize and implement structural planning, analysis, preliminary and final design document preparation.
• Task management: Reviews plans, specifications, reports, and analyses to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.

• Extensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in structural engineering.

Qualifications

• 8-11 years of professional experience in structural bridge and building design required, construction phasing, and complex projects.
• BS in Civil Engineering. Master’s Degree preferred.
• PE licensure required.

Skills

• Knowledge of structural engineering software AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation v8, Revit, OpenRoads, OpenBridge and/or Connect experience is a strong plus.
