About the role

The Senior Strategy Director, UX at Monks leads experience strategy for one of the world's most visible technology brands. This role focuses on UX Strategy rather than UX Design.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Narrative & Pitching
    Lead the Strategic Vision: Translate complex business challenges into clear, compelling recommendations.
    Sell the Vision: Create persuasive strategy decks and executive presentations.
    Orchestrate the Journey: Define how users move across campaigns, landing pages, product experiences, and web ecosystems while ensuring the narrative remains cohesive.

  • Web Ecosystem Strategy
    Marketing-Led UX: Define Information Architecture (IA), customer journeys, and content strategy through a marketing lens.
    Design Connected Experiences: Shape cohesive digital ecosystems.
    Simplify Complexity: Streamline experiences, reduce friction, and create intuitive pathways.
    Connect the Dots: Align digital experience strategy with broader marketing initiatives, product launches, and business priorities.

  • Client Leadership
    Partner with Client Directors and cross-functional teams on proactive initiatives and new business opportunities.
    Present to senior marketing and product stakeholders, facilitate strategic discussions, and defend recommendations.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in Digital Strategy, UX Strategy, Experience Strategy, or a closely related discipline.
Agency DNA: Built career in a digital, creative, or integrated agency environment.
Enterprise Experience: Developed strategy for large-scale websites or digital ecosystems serving global brands.
Proven Strategic Leadership: Significant ownership of strategic thinking, confident in presenting to senior client stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Expert proficiency in Keynote and/or Google Slides—clear, persuasive strategic storytelling.

  • Strong expertise in Information Architecture (IA), Customer Journey Mapping, Content Strategy, and UX fundamentals.

  • Ability to connect digital experience recommendations to business and marketing outcomes.

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and storytelling skills.

  • Comfortable collaborating across Creative, UX Design, Production, Engineering, and Client teams.

Skills

  • Expert proficiency in Keynote and/or Google Slides—your presentations tell clear, persuasive strategic stories.

  • Strong expertise in Information Architecture (IA), Customer Journey Mapping, Content Strategy, and UX fundamentals, with the ability to partner closely with UX Design teams.

  • Ability to connect digital experience recommendations to business and marketing outcomes, including engagement, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Comfortable collaborating across Creative, UX Design, Production, Engineering, and Client teams to bring strategic visions to life.
