Senior Specialist-Product Marketing
About the role
Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist-Product Marketing to manage the lifecycle and commercial success of high-reliability discrete semiconductor products for the Aerospace and Defense market. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, quality, sales, and key customers to develop pricing strategies, execute product launches, and support customer engagement activities aimed at maximizing revenue growth and market penetration. The position ensures products meet long-term supply, reliability, and qualification requirements for military, space, avionics, and industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for maximizing market share, revenue, and profit for specific market sectors.
- Collaborate with product marketing and applications engineering to lead, prepare, and execute go-to-market launch strategies for new products.
- Manage global pricing strategy, review and approve special price requests, and negotiate volume purchasing agreements with customers.
- Work with the corporate MARCOM team to develop product promotion initiatives, campaigns, and marketing collateral for existing products to generate new opportunities and revenue growth.
- Maintain and update website content to ensure product information remains accurate, current, and user-friendly.
- Track, report, and present business metrics for your portfolio, including billings, backlog, and inventory data.
- Own revenue and product forecasting to ensure business projections are met and assist with the SIOP process.
- Handle product lifecycle management, including ramp-up, sustenance, and ramp-down of products within the portfolio.
- Engage with customers at a strategic level for escalations or custom projects.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor-related roles such as Product Management, Program Management, or Marketing.
- B.S. degree in Business or equivalent field; MBA is a plus.
- Excellent data analytics skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Experience setting and shifting priorities while maintaining organization and control of expected product outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to arrive at mutually agreeable decisions affecting regional business situations.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work independently or in a team as needed.
- Strong understanding of web and native advertisement technology, standard display ads, and related ad monetization strategies.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across geographies and functions.

Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $46,000 - $128,000, dependent on job location, skills, and experience. Microchip offers a total compensation package that includes competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments.
