Responsibilities
- Management & Operations: Expense control, maximizing value, day-to-day operations, maintenance coordination, personnel training and mentoring.
- Hiring/Firing: Input regarding hiring/firing of personnel that would report to this position.
- Data Records: Keeping records and data pertinent to operations in an orderly fashion.
- Tenant Occupancy: Preparing premises for tenant occupancy.
- Budget Management: Operating properties within the approved property budget, monitoring and analyzing budgets and contracts.
- Maintenance Programs: Establishing and monitoring ongoing preventative maintenance programs, training and coaching staff.
- Property Information: Maintaining an ongoing system of property information.
- Annual Budget: Preparing and obtaining approval for the annual property budget, communicating objectives, problems, and innovations.
- Inspections: Regularly inspecting the property, implementing necessary programs, and verifying maintenance.
- Reports: Generating monthly detailed reports on property management activities, presenting concise reports to owners.
- Landlord/Tenant Relations: Ensuring good landlord/tenant relations through regular site tours and meetings, managing landlord/tenant obligations.
- Leasing: Assisting leasing agents in new and renewal tenant leasing, reviewing and preparing lease summaries, reviewing tenant improvement plans.
- Special Projects: Reviewing and executing special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years management experience in the real estate/property management area with a proven track record.
- Post-secondary education at a university or college level preferably in a real estate or business-related area.
- Designations for programs completed in the real estate sector are an asset.
- Prior 3rd party management experience is an asset.
- You must obtain a real estate license within 90 days from the Commencement Date and maintain it in good standing.
