Senior Project Manager, Social Media
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager of social media is responsible for implementing NYCEDC's social media strategy, crafting compelling content, and managing ad campaigns across NYCEDC-owned social media channels. This role collaborates with various stakeholders and interdisciplinary project teams to develop and execute social media plans and campaigns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the social media director and social media managers to implement the social media strategy for their portfolio.
- Align social media campaigns and multimedia storytelling series with organizational priorities.
- Write and publish engaging social media posts, ensuring brand voice consistency.
- Create content plans including video and graphics for channels under NYCEDC's umbrella.
- Create social media toolkits for stakeholders to support key NYCEDC announcements.
- Develop and manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking.
- Conduct A/B testing on ad campaigns to optimize performance.
- Stay current with social media trends and social media advertising best practices.
- Collaborate with the creative producer and marketing team to produce visually appealing content.
- Maintain and monitor social media channels, analyze performance data, and provide actionable insights for organic and paid social media content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in social media management, with a focus on copywriting and multimedia creation.
- Strong writing skills with a portfolio showcasing creative and effective social media copy.
- Experience with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
- Proficiency using social media analytics tools to measure campaign performance.
- Able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with digital multi-media tools (PowerPoint, social metrics, video creation, Canva, etc.).
- New York City resident (required within 180 days of hire).
