About the role

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to lead power sector projects. This role involves providing technical leadership, managing projects, and collaborating with clients and other disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead for Power Sector engineering projects, reviewing and sealing projects.
  • Plan, organize, and manage project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery, technical quality, and within budget.
  • Execute environmental permitting strategy, develop regulatory strategies, and direct environmental field surveys and construction compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams.
  • Support and ensure implementation of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused to understand and appropriately respond to external and internal client's business needs.
  • Effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Proven ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of documents related to requests for proposals and invitations for bid.
  • Thrives in a team environment, mentor to staff, advisor to clients and management team.

Credentials

  • Bachelor of Science (minimum) in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or other closely related degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years prior experience in a similar role required.
  • Professional Licensure (P.E.) in NC, SC, VA, WV, MD desirable.
