About the role

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to lead projects in the Power sector. This position is part of Stantec’s Environmental Services team, which provides expertise across various design projects including electric transmission, rebuild projects, project access roads, civil and environmental substations, battery storage facilities, and solar site and stormwater design.

Responsibilities

  • Review and seal projects as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead.
  • Plan, organize, and manage project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery, technical quality, and within budget.
  • Coordinate work efforts and prepare deliverables reports, client stewardship, and multi-discipline project coordination.
  • Execute environmental permitting strategy, develop regulatory strategies, conduct field surveys, and ensure construction compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams.
  • Support and implement HSSE policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships and seek new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, customer-focused to understand and respond to client needs.
  • Effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Proven ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of RFPs and bidding processes.
  • Experience in a similar role with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional Licensure (P.E.) in NC, SC, VA, WV, MD desirable.
