Senior Project Manager/Engineer – Power Sector
About the role
Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to lead Power sector projects. This position is part of the Environmental Services team, which provides expertise across various design projects including utility, transmission, and renewable energy initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead for Power Sector engineering projects, reviewing and sealing projects.
- Plan, organize, and manage project deliverables to ensure timely completion, quality, and adherence to budget.
- Provide technical leadership for projects in Virginia and potentially in other Mid-Atlantic regions, managing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, design calculations, and environmental permitting.
- Coordinate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects, prepare deliverables reports, and manage client relationships.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams, ensuring compliance with health, safety, security, and environment policies.
- Execute environmental permitting strategies, conduct field surveys, and ensure construction compliance.
- Support and implement HSSE policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills, customer-focused to meet client needs.
- Effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Proven understanding of federal and state regulations and permitting requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, able to mentor staff and advise clients and management.
Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Professional Licensure (P.E.) in NC, SC, VA, WV, MD preferred.
Qualifications
