Senior Project Manager/Engineer – Power Sector
About the role
Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to lead Power sector projects. This position will join Stantec's Environmental Services team, providing expertise in various areas including electric transmission, project access roads, substations, battery storage facilities, and solar site designs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead for Power Sector engineering projects, reviewing and sealing projects.
- Plan, organize, and manage project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery, technical quality, and within budget.
- Coordinate work efforts and prepare deliverables reports, client stewardship, and manage multi-discipline projects.
- Execute environmental permitting strategy, develop regulatory strategies, conduct environmental field surveys, and ensure construction compliance.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams, ensuring adherence to HSSE policies and guidelines.
- Support and implement HSSE policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships, seeking new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills, customer-focused to understand and respond to client needs.
- Effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations and permitting requirements.
- Proven ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of RFPs and bidding processes.
- Thrive in a team environment, mentor staff, advise clients, and manage teams.
Credentials
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years prior experience in a similar role.
- Professional Licensure (P.E.) in NC, SC, VA, WV, MD desirable.
