Senior Project Manager/Engineer – Power Sector

About the role

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to lead power sector projects. This role will be part of Stantec's Environmental Services team, providing expertise in various design projects including electric transmission, rebuild projects, project access roads, civil/environmental substations, battery storage facilities, solar site/civil/stormwater due diligence, and design development.

Responsibilities

• Review and seal projects as Sr. Project Manager or Project Technical Lead.
• Plan, organize, and manage project deliverables to ensure timely completion, quality, and budget adherence.
• Manage and coordinate work efforts across multiple disciplines, including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, design calculations, report writing, and design criteria selection.
• Execute environmental permitting strategies, develop regulatory strategies, conduct field surveys, and ensure construction compliance.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams, and ensure compliance with HSSE policies.
• Support and implement HSSE policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships, and seek new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of federal and state regulations and permitting requirements.
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Experience with RFPs and bidding processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Licensure (P.E.) in NC, SC, VA, WV, MD preferred.
