Senior Project Engineer - Weld

Support early feasibility studies and develop department-specific project strategies, including control items (SAP) based on Project A00. Coordinate department build activities and oversee the maturation of S,Q,D,M, equipment, processes, and training through T Stage build events. Assist in mass production start-up planning and execution. Key Responsibilities Include Review welding department business plans aligned with Honda's future vision and set targets linked to schedules.Investigate impacts of new manufacturing technologies and specifications.Support drawing reviews, virtual builds, and mentor project teams on design manufacturability.Manage mass production design changes, evaluate project impacts, and report on evaluations.Coordinate build activities, monitor zone pending items, and mentor teams on part sorting and VIN entry.Lead feedback summaries, support shutdown builds, and facilitate department reflection post-mass production start-up.Maintain regular meetings to review SAP status with project and production teams, tracking equipment delivery, operational standards, and training progress. Qualifications, Experience, And Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.Over 5 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in 3D modeling (preferably CATIA), Honda design systems, and cost management skills. Additional Details Ability to lift 20 lbs, operate vibrating hand tools, and travel as needed.Work weekends and various shifts if required.
