Senior Project Engineer - Weld

About the role

Support early feasibility studies, develop department-specific project strategies, and manage maturation of key components such as equipment, processes, and training. Coordinate build activities and support mass production startup.

Responsibilities

• Review business plans aligned with Honda's vision
• Investigate new manufacturing technologies
• Facilitate drawing reviews and virtual builds
• Mentor project teams on design manufacturability
• Evaluate project impacts
• Track zone activities for timely closure
• Lead feedback summaries
• Support shutdown builds
• Maintain regular meetings to monitor progress on equipment, standards, and training

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in 3D modeling (preferably CATIA)
• Knowledge of Honda design systems
• Cost management skills

Requirements

• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• Ability to operate vibrating tools
• Travel as needed
