About the role

AWS Payments and Fraud Prevention is hiring a Senior Product Manager to define and drive large-scale, cross-company initiatives that shape the future of AWS's payment infrastructure. This role impacts the full breadth of AWS services and drives strategic growth for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Drive payment acceptance across AWS geographies
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories
  • Support AWS payments and data compliance programs
  • Work closely with engineering and partner teams to deliver platform improvements that accelerate payments launches
  • Work closely with stakeholder teams in Accounting, Fintech, and Amazon Consumer Payments to align on priorities and maintain momentum for projects
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Develop product requirements working backwards from customer needs, focusing on products that enable growth, efficiency, and scaling of AWS's payment acceptance, fraud prevention, collections, and disbursements capabilities
  • Build consensus across product management, engineering, solution architecture, and business development to achieve shared goals across payment operations, fraud prevention, and platform infrastructure
  • Leverage AI to transform customer experience and operations, designing autonomous systems that reduce friction in payment flows, accelerate fraud investigations, enable real-time decision-making across millions of transactions, and deliver personalized payment experiences
  • Own end-to-end delivery of multi-year initiatives, managing complex dependencies across payment methods, fraud systems, and global compliance requirements
  • Develop and mentor product talent across the organization

Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
  • 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
  • 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
  • 7+ years of full product life cycle experience
  • 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience
  • 5+ years of creating written docs for development of new products experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise security product experience
  • 5+ years of product management in the cloud computing technology space experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics
  • Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
