Brief Job Overview

The Senior Market Development Manager is responsible for executing a comprehensive business growth strategy to expand USP Biologics activities across various therapeutic areas. This role involves identifying, researching, and pursuing new and adjacent market opportunities, building strategic relationships, and supporting the development of USP Biologics standards and reference materials.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of USP products and services is highly desirable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related science field required or business degree and 4+ years related field experience
  • 5-6 years of experience in global pharmaceutical or life science tools industry, a strong understanding of local market and manufacturing trends, and an existing network of industry contacts
  • At least 4 years of experience in sales, marketing or customer-facing role
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical industry, FDA/government regulations and use of compendial and industry standards
  • Combined education and experience within life science tools, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and analytical sciences
  • Experience using data analytical platforms (e.g. Tableau), digital marketing platforms (eCommerce), and CRM platform (e.g. Sales Force)
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, quality control, quality assurance or GMP background a plus
