About the role
LOGAN Community Resources is a non-profit organization focused on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their desired quality of life. The Senior Managing Professional provides evaluation and treatment for their Treatment Specialty: Speech and Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (DPT), Family Support Therapy (FST), or Developmental Therapy (DT) Services.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate persons served with other professionals or individually.
- Communicate the results of the assessment/screening as directed.
- Facilitate the growth of the client's parents as teachers by providing the resources and support necessary to adequately meet each goal.
- Work directly and collaboratively with other LOGAN staff and external service providers to develop, implement, and measure therapeutic goals.
- Communicate effectively with other staff, agencies, and community programs, persons served and their parents/guardians.
- Keep daily progress notes, make reports on client progress, and maintain records of evaluations, treatments sessions, home visits, etc.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, parent group meetings when requested.
- Provide feedback as needed, to supervisees.
- Supervise professional staff in Therapy Services: complete reviews, Paylocity monitoring and approvals, verify team members' services, and meet quality standards.
- Respect the confidentiality of persons served and respect their cultural diversity, in accordance with LOGAN policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Required education and training to meet credentialing requirements, certification requirements, and licensure required for your profession.
- Experience: 5 or more years of experience working with a IDD, DD, or ASD population is required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Communicate with other appropriate staff, supervisor, and agency personnel; establish and maintain effective relationships with persons served and family members/guardians; be creative in exploring new and innovative ideas; work independently and use sound judgment; currently registered/licensed with the Health Professions Bureau of Indiana (for INDIANA Providers); have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to and from each visit, therapy session, or Individual Family Service Plan site; have a reliable form of transportation; participate in required LOGAN trainings and in-service experiences; enrolled in the state of Indiana as First Steps provider; ability to lift 50 pounds throughout a therapeutic session.
