About the role

Sanity.io is seeking a Senior Manager, Paid Media to lead the company's paid media program. The ideal candidate will manage a $5M+ annual budget, coordinate with internal teams like demand gen, ABX, and RevOps, and build and lead a paid media team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the paid media team, managing two contractors from day one and growing the team to 2-3 people within the first year.
  • Own the paid media strategy and budget, planning, allocating, and managing a $5M+ annual budget across various channels.
  • Manage agencies and contractors, setting the strategy and testing agenda while overseeing their execution.
  • Run paid social as a primary channel, building audience strategies, creative testing frameworks, and campaign architectures.
  • Stand up measurement frameworks, attribution models, tagging systems, and reporting dashboards to track and optimize performance.
  • Drive full-funnel programs that serve the entire buyer journey, coordinating with demand gen, ABX, content, and sales.
  • Report on what matters, translating platform metrics into business outcomes such as pipeline generated, cost per opportunity, and influenced revenue.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in B2B paid media, managing $5-10M+ annual budgets, with at least 2+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Deep expertise in paid social (LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok) and working knowledge of Google Ads, DSP, and DOOH.
  • Experience managing agencies and contractors, writing sharp briefs, setting KPIs, and course-correcting when performance drifts.
  • Built and run structured experimentation programs across creative, audiences, and channel mix at scale.
  • Built paid media infrastructure, including attribution, naming conventions, tagging, reporting.
  • Demonstrated use of AI in paid media, including bidding optimization, performance analysis, creative production, and audience segmentation.
  • Strong communicator who can present to leadership and align cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with B2B SaaS or developer tools, longer sales cycles, and buying committees.
  • Paid media experience in developer tools, content platforms, or technical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with ABM platforms (Demandbase, 6sense) and account-based motions.
  • Scaled a paid program from early stage to mature, multi-channel operation.
  • Built AI-assisted workflows that go beyond platform defaults (e.g., custom models for bid management, AI-driven creative testing, automated budget reallocation).
  • Experience with Salesforce or HubSpot for closed-loop reporting.
