About the role
Lead enterprise market strategy and execution for Amazon's Leo, a transformative satellite connectivity initiative serving Fortune 500 companies globally.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a vertical-aligned business development team across North America, transforming the organization from generalist roles to industry-specific subject matter experts focused on energy, media, retail, healthcare, logistics, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
- Establish the global business development strategy that international teams adopt and execute against as Leo scales, including vertical prioritization, competitive positioning frameworks, and market approaches.
- Design and implement repeatable sales mechanisms such as industry-specific plays, discovery methodologies, competitive positioning frameworks, and deal structure templates that the broader sales organization can scale and execute.
- Originate and execute complex enterprise deals with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 accounts at significant contract values, including financial modeling, creative structuring for early-adoption scenarios, and development of agreements such as term sheets, MOUs, and development contracts.
- Drive structured customer feedback loops into product and engineering teams, own enterprise readiness metrics, and lead due diligence activities that inform product roadmap and competitive positioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics or other related fields.
- Experience building and managing large and high-performance teams.
- Experience leading enterprise business development or enterprise sales teams in technology, telecommunications, or satellite communications.
- Experience developing and negotiating complex business agreements including supplier negotiations, purchasing agreements, or development agreements.
- Proven ability building mechanism-driven business development organizations with playbooks and market motions adopted across broader organizations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- Knowledge of satellite communications architectures, enterprise networking solutions, and AWS networking services (preferred).
- Experience in pre-launch or early-stage product environments where market strategy, competitive positioning, and product-market fit were established simultaneously (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability engaging and influencing executive leadership at enterprise scale (preferred).
- Experience partnering with industry-aligned market organizations or AWS industry business units (preferred).

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of AWS networking services and satellite communications.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
USA, NY, New York - $205,700.00 - $278,200.00 USD annually
USA, WA, BELLEVUE - $187,000.00 - $252,900.00 USD annually
