Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff and oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for food production
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Manage inventory, including ordering and controlling stock levels
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen personnel
- Collaborate with the executive chef to design and update menus
- Monitor food cost and budgeting for kitchen operations
- Implement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Requirements
- Associates degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role, preferably in high-volume settings
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Expertise in food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and food cost controls
