Senior Human Resources Generalist
About the Role
As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, you'll be a trusted partner to leaders and employees, helping drive both people and business success. Working closely with the Human Resources Manager, HR colleagues, and business leaders, you'll support strategic initiatives across Amcor Flexible North America (AFNA) while ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the organization. In this role, you'll blend hands-on HR support with strategic thinking, leveraging data, insights, and strong business partnerships to help leaders make informed decisions. You'll have a direct impact on employee engagement, talent development, performance management, employee relations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Champion and promote Amcor's strong commitment to safety and our safety-first culture.
- Partner with HR Shared Services and Centers of Excellence to deliver a seamless HR experience and resolve employee questions and concerns.
- Support business process improvements and participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Promote employee well-being by supporting Amcor's health and wellness programs.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and administrative support for performance management processes.
- Process HRIS and payroll transactions, generate standard and ad hoc reports, and provide meaningful data analysis to support business decisions.
- Lead employee engagement efforts, including surveys, focus groups, action planning, and follow-up activities.
- Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Coordinate employee training, development programs, and career growth initiatives.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects and business initiatives that drive organizational success.
- Mentor and support the development of less experienced HR team members.
- Execute key initiatives on the HR Roadmap, including employee relations, employee engagement, talent management, and culture-building efforts.
- Develop and improve efficient, repeatable HR processes that enhance service delivery and employee experiences.
- Partner with Corporate HR teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Use data and analytics proactively to identify trends, provide recommendations, and influence business outcomes.
- Deliver results against annual goals and objectives.
- Apply critical thinking and sound judgment to solve problems and implement effective solutions.
- Contribute to workforce and organizational planning efforts that support long-term business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 5 or more years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience leading projects and driving initiatives across teams and functions.
- Solid knowledge of HR systems, preferably Workday and/or Kronos.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Experience in employee and labor relations, with the ability to support a positive and productive work environment.
- Demonstrated project management and project leadership experience.
