About the role
We are seeking a seasoned HRIS professional with deep working knowledge of PeopleSoft and /or Workday. The Senior HR Analyst provides support to operational business partners to develop, implement, maintain, and improve configurations and processes within systems. They will be a subject matter expert in a few functional areas within the HR domain and will provide ongoing technical consultation on new and existing functionality, business processes, change management, and testing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Own select business processes and reports within HR Domain
- Support projects and break/fix solutions through the full system development lifecycle (SDLC) process
- Recognize and suggest short-term and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics aligned with Emory's long- and short-term business strategy and challenges related to a functional area
- Understand key business processes from end user perspectives and recommend solutions that optimize system and eliminate manual processes
- Lead the creation or revision of functional requirements for business process and report changes
- Provide business requirements to Digital configuration team when new technical solutions are needed
- Collaborate with work group to test scenarios and document results
- Work closely with the project team to track issues through resolution
- Deliver training solutions to affected stakeholders and support user adoption
- Maintain HR data tools, reporting, and dashboards
- Produce and deliver standard (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and customized HR reports
- Perform complex data manipulation or modeling in support of critical business decisions
- Gather and disburse government labor statistics, new employment regulations, and labor laws
- Analyze competitor's practices and make recommendations to management
- Prepare reports of data results and present findings to senior leadership
- Contribute to system decision-making, scoping, and arranging HR system projects in support of the overall HR strategy
- Respond to HR data requests on an ad hoc basis by gathering, analyzing, and reporting relevant data from various sources
- Maintain HR data integrity by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input data
- Audit HR data and troubleshoot irregularities
- Develop & maintain a data glossary
- Responsible for addressing a high volume of system-related activities in a timely fashion while maintaining a high level of quality and internal customer satisfaction
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with consulting skills with a customer-centric, solution-oriented approach
- Strong verbal and written communication and ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Strong process-oriented and data-oriented problem solver
- Effectively prioritize workload comprised of both transactional and project-based tasks
- Build strong relationships and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment, adhering to project deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
- Advanced experience with MS Excel
- Understanding of statistical modeling and descriptive statistics
- Working knowledge of SQL
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor or master in human resources, business administration, I/O psychology, information technology or related field
- No professional certifications required
- 4+ years of relevant HR experience
- 2+ years of relevant data analytics experience
- Previous experience in leading system-related projects
