Job Details
The City of San Bernardino is seeking a Water Reclamation Trainee #0812-7. Only the first 30 applicants will be considered. This position is located at 300 N. "D" Street, San Bernardino, CA.
About the Role
This class is the entry level in the Water Reclamation Series. Supervision is received from the Environmental Control Officer, Water Reclamation Process Supervisor, or Water Reclamation Lead Operator. Incumbents perform routine tasks and must be familiar with environmental regulations and equipment used in sewage treatment and sludge drying. With experience and certification, incumbents may advance to more complex roles.
Responsibilities
- Under close supervision, receive training in wastewater treatment processes and environmental regulations to assist in operating various mechanical and electrical equipment at the Water Reclamation Plant.
Requirements
- Licenses, Certificates, Special Requirements:
- A Wastewater Treatment Plant Certificate Grade I or an Environmental Compliance Inspector Grade I issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board or the California Water Environment Association must be obtained within two years.
- A valid California Class “C” driver’s license is required.
- Education/Experience:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
