Senior Food Service Manager - Concessions

About the role

The Toledo Zoo is seeking a full-time Senior Food Service Manager-Concessions. The ideal candidate will support the zoo's mission to: Enjoy. Inspire. Educate.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of all Concession Food Service Areas.
• Supervises subordinate staff in the preparation of food.
• Affirms proper inventory levels are maintained.
• Maintains labor, cost and revenue standards.
• Follows proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of Concession and Catering areas.
• Prepares annual budgets and income projections.

Requirements

• Preference of degree in Food Services, Business, or related field and three to five years of experience in food service management, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Must possess the required certification in Food Service sanitation.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
• Must be at least 21+ years of age.

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Skills

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food service management principles and practices.
