CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing as directed on Godwin fleet equipment between each rental.
- Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems and pump problems.
- Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends.
- Aid customers and/or Xylem personnel in setting up pumping systems at customer job sites as needed.
- Assist in the performance of start-up duties and ensure any problems are resolved.
- Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager.
- Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
- Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment.
- Participate in the on-call schedule to assist customers after hours.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-3 years of diesel experience and/or training, or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card.
- Commercial Driver License B - Preferred but not required.
- Diagnosing basic mechanical problems.
- Thorough understanding of the methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Basic understanding of pump station electrical controls and monitoring devices.
- Basic understanding of General DC electric and circuit testing skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues—preferred.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers both verbally and in writing.

Pay Range
The estimated salary range for this position starts at $29/hour- $33/hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills and experience.
