About the role

Xylem is a global water solutions company dedicated to addressing critical water challenges worldwide. We are currently hiring a Field Service Technician Level 2 to support our mission of providing innovative and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
  • Perform start-ups and train customers on the equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and emergency callouts
  • Operate and maintain a service truck with crane and out-riggers
  • Operate industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.
  • Use various Company provided hand and power tools
  • Create and maintain accurate records in Xylem’s work order management system
  • Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization
  • Work independently and function in a team environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years of technical/mechanical work experience
  • Experience with water/wastewater systems is a plus
  • Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen

Skills

  • Electrically and mechanically inclined
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
  • Comprehends technical information and communicates it clearly
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
  • Leadership skills: proactive feedback seeking, applying new knowledge, identifying and mitigating risks, breaking down problems, owning execution, delegating effectively, considering Xylem-wide implications, focusing on long-term goals, and overcoming setbacks or failures

Pay

The estimated salary range for this position starts at $33/hourly. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location. Xylem offers a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
