Senior Corporate Attorney
About the role
Bricker Graydon Wyatt is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Corporate practice in Ohio and Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' experience in general business and transactional work with closely held businesses, as well as first chair M&A experience. Partial or full book of business preferred, but not required. Candidates should possess excellent academic credentials, high ethical standards, strong writing, analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Must also have strong project management skills and be able to work with multiple attorneys on various assignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of business and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
- Develop and implement strategies to support business growth and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
- Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on corporate governance issues and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in court and before regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in general business and transactional work, with a focus on M&A.
- Strong academic credentials and high ethical standards.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Strong project management skills.
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, or Tennessee.
- Member of the American Bar Association.
Skills
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Experience working with closely held businesses.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws relevant to business transactions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
