About the role
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in general business and transactional work with closely held businesses, as well as first chair M&A experience. Partial or full book of business preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in a variety of business transactions and matters.
- Lead and manage complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Develop and implement strategies to support business growth and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and non-legal professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management issues.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Requirements
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, or Tennessee.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate and transactional law.
- Experience in first-chair M&A transactions.
- Strong academic credentials.
- High ethical standards and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong project management skills.
