About the role

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in general business and transactional work with closely held businesses, as well as first chair M&A experience. Partial or full book of business preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in a variety of business transactions and matters.
  • Lead and manage complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support business growth and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and non-legal professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Advise clients on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, or Tennessee.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate and transactional law.
  • Experience in first-chair M&A transactions.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • High ethical standards and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong project management skills.

Pay

The salary for this position will be determined based on several job-related factors, including background, experience and education, consistent with applicable law.
