About the role

United's Airport Operations team keeps operations at airports running smoothly every single day. From the check-in counter to the departure gate and behind the scenes with checked baggage, the team ensures exceptional service across the entire airport experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists managers, supervisors and front line agents by performing administrative activities and functions including scheduling, payroll/eTA, accounts payable, report preparation, wellness administration, safety and OJI reporting and tracking, airport and governmental reports, employee badging, record retention and process implementation to ensure compliance with SAQ and other audit requirements, financial planning and analysis, contract oversight, event planning, and other tasks to support local station leadership and employees
  • Provides support for station frontline employees and general manager that includes answering general office questions, payroll, and scheduling issues; duties also include support for badging requirements, gathering documents for performance and wellness events, and interpretation of contract on an ad hoc basis
  • Processes and corrects documents related to exceptions in time and attendance systems to accurately reflect payroll for frontline employees
  • Creates reports such as landing fee report, daily ops report, and 30 other reports used by general managers, supervisors, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to make decisions
  • Processes accounting invoices for station expenses such as customer service vouchers (CSVs) and vendor invoices; duties also include reconciling general ledger (G/L) line items on monthly basis and providing estimated expenses to financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Manages office supplies (including purchasing), plans office events, and organizes general meetings

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office primarily Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to analyze and report out on data
  • Strong and positive communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain composure in high volume/high pressure situations
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Airline experience

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $45,030.00 to $58,656.00. The base salary range listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
