Responsibilities

• Analyzes coverage for complex claims and determines if they are covered under the applicable policy.
• Investigates claims and coverage issues, drafting action plans and obtaining management approval for authority.
• Establishes and revises claim reserves based on developments and counsel assessments, seeking approval where necessary.
• Drafts coverage determination letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters.
• Selects defense and/or coverage counsel, obtains updates, and attends mediations and arbitrations.
• Trains and assists less experienced claims staff in resolving claims issues.
• Approves claims correspondence, requests for authority, and claim payments within designated authority levels.

• Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • An active adjuster license in the state of residence or designated home state, or within the Grace Period of beginning employment.
  • 6 years of relevant and progressive professional experience.
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office packages.

  Pay

  The salary range for this specific position is $115,000 - $188,000 annually, based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company. The salary offered for this specific position is based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.

  Schedule

  Hybrid Work Schedule available, with options to work in Atlanta, GA, New York, NY, Encino, CA, or Chicago, IL, or remotely if the selected candidate does not reside near an office listed locations.
