About the role

The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking a motivated Senior Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans' Nursing Home team. The facility offers a supportive environment with a loyal team of long-term employees and a fantastic work culture.

Responsibilities

- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including activities of daily living, ambulation, and mobility. - Respond promptly and courteously to call lights and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor. - Complete assignments according to established performance standards and policies. - Assist with activities of daily living such as oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, hair and nail care, shaving, toileting, eating, and drinking. - Assist with related functions such as escorting to meals, assisting with laundry, and participating in activities. - Perform restorative measures such as obtaining and recording vital signs and assisting with self-administration of medications. - Maintain confidentiality of resident information and assist with monitoring and accountability of residents. - Attend in-service programs, training classes, and domiciliary meetings. - Work cooperatively and respectfully with residents, family, and facility staff.

Requirements

- Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. - Current CPR Certification. - Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc. - Willing and able to work weekends and holidays, as needed. - Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Fluency in the English Language: Reading, Writing, Speaking & Understanding. - Successfully completed due diligence process, including Level II background check and drug test.

Pay

Annual Rate: $37,420.76 Paid Biweekly: $1,439.26
