Responsibilities

• Prepares for clinical procedures and safely operates perfusion equipment while monitoring patient physiology according to established policies and procedures.
• Participates in the Vanderbilt Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology Program (CVPT) through clinical, didactic, and simulation instruction.
• Researches through academic collaborations, data collection, and analysis, and publishes findings.
• Develops or enhances quality standards in cardiovascular perfusion that promote patient safety and protection.

Requirements

• Demonstrated mastery of medical terminology and documentation.
• Ability to maintain equipment, products, or systems without requiring support and instruction from others.
• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary perfusion knowledge in challenging and complex situations.

Qualifications

• Certified in Cardiovascular Perfusion - American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Licensed Clinical Perfusionist - Tennessee.
• Relevant work experience: 5 years.
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
