About the role

Assess, plan, and implement patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during, and after surgery. Set up and operate the heart/lung machine. Consult with physicians and select appropriate equipment. Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in perfusion technology or completion of a NYS accredited certificate program in perfusion technology.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

Skills

• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance techniques and procedures.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot heart/lung machines.
• Strong communication skills to consult with physicians.

Pay

Hiring rate is $100.00 per hour. The rate may be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education, or other relevant factors.

Schedule

This is a Temporary / Per Diem role scheduled from 6:30 AM to 3 PM.
