About the role

Provides expertise in analyzing technical learning needs for a business or function and designs and delivers training solutions. Interprets business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes learning needs and designs training solutions focused on technical training essential for a business or function.
  • Delivers training content or coordinates logistics for training programs.
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within the discipline; may require strong commercial awareness and influence on strategy within own area.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and influences others’ opinions; guides consideration of different viewpoints.
  • Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness objectives; regularly advises management.
  • Makes high-level evaluative judgments to achieve outcomes; assesses quality of information and asks pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • Offers new solutions to problems outside set parameters and constructs recommendations using multiple internal and some external sources.

Technical responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of Initial Certification/License Training Programs for BWR/ABWR/BWRX-300 technology using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to quality oversight and maintenance of Operations Training KSA Analysis/Catalogues, Job & Task Analysis, Task to Training Matrices, Curriculum and Evaluation Strategies, Training Program Delivery Schedules, Training Material and Evaluation Instruments.
  • Contribute to the design and development of Continuing Training Programs for both licensed and non-licensed operators.
  • Contribute to instructional quality oversight of curriculum/materials for licensed and non-licensed training programs for BWR, ABWR, BWRX-300 and other similar technologies.
  • Represent GEH training in internal, customer and regulatory venues.
  • Work with operations training instructors and personnel to support management and delivery of training programs and provide strong leadership for assigned programs.
  • Lead/support training program reviews to evaluate effectiveness, establish priorities and drive continuous improvement plans.
  • Contribute to development/support of corrective actions to address identified areas for improvement.
  • Work with other training and business units to support the Fleet Services enterprises.
  • Perform special assignments and other related activities as assigned by the Training Manager/Leader.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Nuclear Power Plant technologies, including BWR and PWR.
  • Training program development and implementation experience under INPO and NRC regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with Initial and Requalification Certification Examination development, conduct, and grading.
  • Experience delivering all phases of Operator Training: GFES, Station Systems, and Simulator.
  • Experience with Computer Based Training (CBT) implementation including multimedia training content using current industry approaches.
  • Experience using an LMS, training database or Vision software.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $123,700.00 – $206,100.00 USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
