This role supports financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical business owner for the LASSIE platform and its calculation tools
- Manage a team of product analysts and APL coders; provide coaching and technical guidance
- Lead end-to-end requirements for enhancements and defect fixes across the Python engine
- Collaborate with Product and Actuarial teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements
- Design, test, document, and implement application changes in partnership with IT teams
- Maintain documentation of requirements and calculation logic for audit compliance
- Conduct root cause analysis for production and calculation issues, communicating status and decisions to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, actuarial science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7-10+ years of relevant experience in application development within the insurance sector
- Significant expertise in Python programming, particularly in business-critical applications
- Demonstrated experience in Business Systems Analysis and ownership of complex initiatives
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools for code translation and modernization processes
- Experience working with SQL Server and PostgreSQL for data analysis and troubleshooting
- General understanding of life insurance products and policy administration systems preferred
Pay
$120,900 – $187,000 annually
