Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional
About the role
The Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional performs analysis of business, process, and user needs, documentation of requirements, cost/benefit analysis, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. This role serves as the primary process owner and coordination point for letter configuration work within the MHK system, managing the flow of letter requests from intake through readiness, offshore configuration, quality review, testing coordination, and release readiness.
Assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The role requires strong process management, stakeholder coordination, communication, issue resolution, and operational reporting skills. The associate will be expected to understand business priorities, ensure complete handoff documentation, coordinate with offshore configuration resources, monitor backlog aging and throughput, and escalate risks or blockers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business, process, and user needs to document requirements and translate them into system requirement specifications.
- Serve as the primary process owner for letter configuration within the MHK system.
- Manage the end-to-end flow of letter requests, including intake, readiness, offshore configuration, quality review, testing coordination, and release readiness.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts and manage stakeholder communications.
- Monitor backlog aging and throughput, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Escalate risks or blockers to leadership as needed.
- Ensure complete handoff documentation for offshore configuration resources.
- Perform cost/benefit analysis for business and system requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working within a resolution team or software configuration.
- Experience in problem analysis and process improvement.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional efforts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps for remote work; wired cable or DSL connection suggested.
- Work from a dedicated space free of ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
- Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
- Position requires an average of once-per-month night hours (11 PM – 3 AM) according to specific releases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing configuration efforts within MHK.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating work for offshore contractors.
Pay
The starting base pay range for this full-time (40 hours per week) position is $80,900 - $110,300 per year. Pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
