About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager at Clark Pacific is responsible for expanding the company's presence in Arizona through strategic relationships and project development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Create and manage leads from initial contact through the preconstruction phase.
  • Deliver proposals and presentations that convert opportunities into awarded projects.
  • Represent Clark Pacific at industry events and conferences.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to develop winning pursuit strategies.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for Business Development Managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of business development experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience developing business within the Phoenix/Arizona market.
  • Experience building relationships with General Contractors, Owners, Architects, and Engineers.
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of construction processes and construction delivery methods.
  • Experience in the data center market strongly preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven history of success in construction industry client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and Salesforce.
  • Thorough understanding of the business development lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, capture planning, and proposal development.
  • Passion for Clark Pacific's mission, values, and culture.
