About the role
The Senior Business Development Manager at Clark Pacific is responsible for expanding the company's presence in Arizona through strategic relationships and project development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Create and manage leads from initial contact through the preconstruction phase.
- Deliver proposals and presentations that convert opportunities into awarded projects.
- Represent Clark Pacific at industry events and conferences.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to develop winning pursuit strategies.
- Provide leadership and coordination for Business Development Managers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of business development experience within the construction industry.
- Experience developing business within the Phoenix/Arizona market.
- Experience building relationships with General Contractors, Owners, Architects, and Engineers.
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge of construction processes and construction delivery methods.
- Experience in the data center market strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Proven history of success in construction industry client relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and Salesforce.
- Thorough understanding of the business development lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, capture planning, and proposal development.
