Job Title: Senior AP Specialist Type: Full-Time, Exempt Location: Denver, Colorado | Denver Tech Center Hourly Range: $70,000-80,000 depending on experience What the role is about: The primary objective for the Senior AP Specialist will be to manage the retail AP process and to make sure invoices are paid in a timely, complete, and accurate manner. What impact you'll make: Processing and coding a high volume of invoices for approval through an AP routing softwareValidating retail inventory invoices via three-way matchingManaging the offshore AP team and processes while providing support when neededManaging the vendor promo program, communicating promo results with vendors, and booking credit memosPreparing weekly payment proposals for approval and processing weekly ACH and check paymentsAssist in managing various shared AP inboxes for internal and external inquiriesAssist accounting team with bank reconciliations as it relates to debit card activity, utilities, and other chargesEmphasizes organization by maintaining a clean email inbox, digital document filing, and financial recordsProvides support for accounting team by preparing reports, including aging schedules and statementsEnsure that processes are compliant with all company policies and controlsOther duties as assigned Additional duties may be required as needed to support overall operations. Requirements Education and Experience 5+ years of professional AP/AR or accounting experienceBachelor’s degree preferredCannabis industry knowledge is a plusAttention to detail, organization, and accuracy is criticalAbility to prioritize, work independently, and multi-taskEfficient internal and external communication is criticalExperience with Business Central or a similar accounting ERP system a plusExperience with AP routing/approval softwareComputer skills required include working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Outlook and ExcelAbility to stay calm and professional given high volume and tight deadlines Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel) This role follows a hybrid schedule of up to two remote days and three on-site daysMonday through Friday (approximately 8:00AM to 5:00PM)Additional hours are based on the manager's requirements, with some weekend work as neededAbility to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado Why Choose Vireo?
