About the role

The Senior Account Manager works within our Sales Activation team and is responsible for working with the Global Client Service Partner (GCSP), Sales Executive (SE), where applicable, and Account Leads to drive account strategy and innovation, drive client relationship growth, accelerate sales, and develop talent. This role supports a strategic client headquartered in the San Francisco area and requires strong local engagement with client stakeholders. The successful candidate will maintain a regular on-site presence with the client as business needs dictate, fostering relationships, enabling collaboration, and driving account growth and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage one Premier or Strategic account and one focus account within the Private Equity Sector, driving key activities of EY’s Account Management Framework.
  • Work with the GCSP and SE to co-develop account strategy, drive global execution of account plans, facilitate service line planning, account integration, pursuit support, and pipeline development with discipline and rigor.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and knowledge hub for the account, connecting client priorities and industry trends with EY capabilities, growth drivers, and innovative solutions across the global network.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business agenda and EY solutions to enable leveraging the global EY network and connecting clients to the right people.
  • Focus on sales pipeline generation, relationship development, and deal coaching within your account.
  • Influence leaders, impact sales excellence, and drive account actions both internally and externally, locally and globally.
  • Own the Client Experience (CX) process by developing the plan, leading/attending interviews, and driving action after interviews and year-end follow-up.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of account management or similar relevant experience.
  • Based in the Portland metropolitan area or surrounding Pacific Northwest region.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective influencing and relationship-building skills with strong executive presence.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree (emphasis in Marketing or Business preferred).

Skills

  • Strong understanding of retail and consumer products industry trends, including digital transformation, supply chain modernization, customer experience, growth strategy, and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations and orchestrate multidisciplinary teams to drive growth and client impact.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, operating with agility, versatility, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Function as a key leader for strategic account activation.
  • Strong communication skills, including coaching and facilitation.
  • Ability to establish credibility and trust.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
  • Strong business/commercial acumen and an understanding of major industry sector trends.
  • Leadership, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $132,900 to $263,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $159,400 to $298,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
