Responsibilities
- Schedules sales calls to meet or exceed revenue and unit growth objectives.
- Determines needs of existing and potential accounts to effectively sell company products in the OR.
- Develops and implements sales strategies by analyzing contract access, sales figures and reports.
- Provides product support to surgeons and hospital personnel, focusing on subspecialties such as Lower Extremity, Plastics, Vascular, and Ortho Trauma and Ortho Oncology.
- Navigates and engages with decision makers across all sites of care to build long-term customer relationships.
- Delivers presentations and demonstrations to educate customers on the safe and effective use of company products.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends and competitive activities, collaborating with national accounts and reimbursement teams to support physicians and accounts.
- Tracks and reports on sales activities, product inventory, and territory sales forecasts.
- Supports trade shows and drives attendance with surgeons from the respective territory.
Requirements
- B.A or B.S (or equivalent) required
- 5+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical outside sales OR sales experience
- Field-based position with 80-90% travel within assigned territory
- Physically capable of standing for long hours in the Operating Room during cases
Qualifications
- Customer-first mentality in approach to customer and patient satisfaction
- Ability to respond to customer needs regarding products and services in a timely and compliant manner
- Knowledge of industry trends and competitive activities
- Collaboration with direct reporting manager to determine necessary resources for achieving sales objectives
Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to navigate the OR to provide product support
- Proficiency in navigating and excelling in the OR to provide product support to surgeons and hospital personnel
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with decision makers throughout all sites of care
- Knowledge of industry trends and competitive activities
