Senior Academic Coordinator - School of Computer Science - HCII

About the role

The Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) is seeking a dedicated Senior Academic Coordinator to join the team. This role provides senior level support to the academic programs within HCII by maintaining program materials, reports, associated databases, and external communications. You'll assist with gathering and preparing materials for faculty review/action, and if supporting a graduate program, act as a first line resource for prospective student inquiries and the application process.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversees and maintains academic admin systems and processes for the program including student registration, student status updates, ICC issues and requests.
• Administers course scheduling for the department.
• Assists with admissions process.
• Coordinates or assists with program events.
• Monitors undergraduate student academic progress along with BHCI Program Manager.
• Provides backup support for Academic Program Managers.
• Provides support for assigned program related faculty.
• Processes program expenses, purchasing requests and other accounting related transactions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of administrative support experience required.
• Experience in higher education and/or student services is highly desired.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, reasoning, communication and interpersonal skills necessary.
• A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
