Security Officer Shelter Patrols

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for individuals, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine rounds, document observations, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify access authorization in accordance with site policies and maintain accurate daily activity reports.
• Support a welcoming and respectful environment for individuals with developmental disabilities while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns and escalating issues to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.87 / hour

• Tuesday: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Friday: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Saturday: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Sunday: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM
