Security Officer Screener
About the Role
As a Security Officer Screener in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct screening activities, and support access procedures to help identify security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate with professionalism, and provide outstanding customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as directed.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screening-related activity to help support security-related operations at the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unauthorized activity, damaged barriers, and/or other conditions that may require follow-up.
Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- CPR certification preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
- A guard card and/or license preferred.
