About the role

As a Security Officer Security Screener in Ellenwood, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Perform screening activities for individuals, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity to help support orderly site operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access control, and/or policy concerns.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
